Luna Tree Jewellery supports Elephant Nature Park.
Elephant Nature Park is an elephant sanctuary for mistreated and abused domesticated Asian elephants within Thailand. Here rescued elephants can heal mentally and physically and adjust slowly to a life without brutality. Luna Tree Jewelleery donates up to 50% of the profits from the sales of this elephant painting range to Save Elephant Foundation. The Save Elephant Foundation is the registered charity which funds several projects including Elephant Nature Park.
Sangduen Chailert, known to everyone as Lek founded Elephant Nature Park in 1996. The park currently has around 70+ elephants of all ages. However, other residents take this total up to about 2000 with the hundreds of cats, dogs, monkeys, water buffalo and pigs which also call the sanctuary home.
Many of the elephants at Elephant Nature Park are physically disabled due to their mistreatment. All the elephants have stories of abuse and hardship in their lives before becoming a resident of the sanctuary. At Elephant Nature Park they are free to roam and socialise, forming their own herd groups with the other elephants.
The elephants at the sanctuary will never know a bullhook again, be chained and they will never be ridden or worked or forced to perform circus tricks. They are free to just be elephants. All Elephants born at the sanctuary will never have their spirits broken.
We donate approximately 50% of our profits from the elephant painting range to the sanctuary annually.
